Friends, Neighbors, and Habitat Supporters,
Over the past three years home values tripled in many parts of Naples, while the cost of living also continued to climb.
Housing costs in Naples have become unaffordable for an increasing number of critical workers in our community and many local families are forced to live in cramped, unhealthy conditions.
Many live outside of Collier County creating traffic snarls and stressing infrastructure. Every year Habitat for Humanity of Collier County strives to build 100 homes for our community and the need is greater than ever.
I believe in the impact of this work so much that I have joined Give to the Max as one of the sponsor donors offering a $2 million matching fund this year.
When you donate to Give to the Max, you’ll unlock an equal amount from the matching fund to support Habitat Collier’s work to build affordable homes that offer hope to the area’s workforce.
I would like to invite you to meet this challenge with a gift of your own. Habitat Collier’s homes are sold to families who complete an application process that identifies families who are ready for the responsibility of a mortgage and have the determination to be part of their own housing solution.
Habitat offers a hand-up and not a hand-out and prioritizes setting families up for success. Those families receive pre-purchase education and spend hours volunteering and on the job site building their home.
Habitat families purchase homes with a down payment and interest-free mortgage, with monthly payments reinvested to impact more families.
This work doesn’t just support individual families but also helps maintain a stronger community, keeping essential workers in place in Naples and offering stability and opportunity for the next generation.
